Vice Ganda shares the secret to his close friendship with Kris Aquino

After his first few guestings on Kris Aquino’s talk showBoy & Kris back in 2008, Jose Marie Borja-Viceral, more popularly known in showbiz as Vice Ganda, admits that he never imagined that he and the popular host-actress would end up being such close friends. In the current issue of The Kris Aquino Magazine, the 35-year-old comedian recalls his first impression of Kris. “I never expected that Kris and I would be—could be—friends. When she still had a morning talk show, I was a frequent guest. I thought it all started and ended there. I was thinking, Ay, paborito ako nito, gagalingan ko para i-guest niya ako lagi, para meron akong raket,’” he says.

Vice admits that they got even closer when they started communicating via text messages on their mobile phones and would regularly check up on how each other was doing or feeling at the moment. “She went out of her way to connect with me kasi nahihiya akong kumonekta sa kanya kasi si Kris Aquino siya. I didn’t want to be tagged na feeling close, masyadong chumichika, lume-level. She made me feel that I should be relaxed when I am with her,” he explains in the interview.

Aside from the fact that they both love engaging in long conversations, Vice also shares that he and Kris also both enjoy watching movies, shopping and music. “She thinks that I have a good voice kaya naloloka ako sa kanya. Lagi nya ako pinapakanta. She is proud of me. We’re also both opinionated. That is our biggest similarity. Nagtatawanan, nagko-kontrahan. Tinanggap naming na marami kaming magkakaibang opinion,” he adds.

Vice reveals that their willingness to accept each other’s differences play a big part on why their friendship has become stronger over the years. We’re both a little crazy. I am one of the very few who make her feel that she is normal. She likes to be treated like an ordinary person,” he says.

Perhaps another reason that has endeared Vice to Kris is his persistence to retain his autonomy as a public figure despite the obvious perk there is to being attached to her in any way. “I don’t say yes to all her invitations. She respects the fact that you have your own life and that you make your own decisions,” he shares.

Filipino Comedian Vice Ganda Admits having Girlfriends Before

Openly gay comedian Vice Ganda admits that he had girlfriends before but swears he didn’t go beyond kissing them. I wonder how his ex girlfriends felt that this guy they used to kiss is now kissing boys. Maybe they’ll probably reminisce how he helps them pick out their clothes and teach them how to wear make up. Heaven forbid if he cracks “may nag text” jokes at them.

Kaya nga kami nag-aaway ni Kris kasi kapag nag-a-out of the country kami, gusto niya bago matulog maliligo muna ako.
Now, I’ve grown to be more mature,” paliwanag ni Andi.
Ang gagawin ko lang, I will just work really hard to prove that I deserve the second chance that I got. Kinakabahan po ako kasi gusto kong matanggap pa rin ako ng mga tao, just like before, pero I’m really on to showing people that I really deserve a second chance,” pagtatapos ni Andi.

Vice Ganda wishes to settle spat with Ai Ai delas Alas

Vice Ganda wishes to start 2012 on a positive note by reconciling  with fellow comedian Ai Ai delas Alas.
Mas maganda kung magkakaibigan tayong lahat,” he told “TV Patrol” in an interview, Jan. 9.
He, however, said in a separate ABS-CBN News article that he has yet to talk with the Comedy Concert Queen.
“Hindi pa kami nagkikita ulit...” the “Showtime” judge was quoted to have said.
Vice no longer wishes to add to what he already vented out on “The Buzz” in his taped interview aired New Year’s Day, where he confirmed reports that he and Ai Ai gave each other the cold shoulder at an event.
Vice would rather keep mum on what caused his spat with Ai Ai“Gustuhin ko man hindi naman puwede. Baka lumaki pa ‘yung issue, baka mapasama pa at sumama pa ‘yung hindi magandang kondisyon... Let's just leave it at that. Natapos na siya no’ng 2011, iwan na natin doon,” he related to “TV Patrol.”
Amid the purported criticism he got because of the issue, Vice appealed to everyone not to jump into conclusions.
Another issue that Vice clarified is his supposed show in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates this month. According to the comedian, he’s scheduled to perform in the said city in March and not this month.
“Wala pong magaganap na show [ngayong buwan]. Kung may mga nagbenta po sa inyo ng ticket ay habulin niyo,” he said on the same “TV Patrol” report.
Life goes on for Vice following the passing of his beloved grandmother, Rosita Borja, last  Dec. 31. He resumed work last Jan. 7 through a show at Clark, Pampanga, and the first-ever live episode of “Gandang Gabi Vice” last Jan. 8.
Vice believes that his “lola” is watching over him.
“May sarili akong angel, may sarili akong star. ‘yan ‘yung lola ko,” he said with a sad smile.

In The Case Of Vice Ganda, Beauty Comes From Inner Joy

The blessings just continue to pour on Vice Ganda’s lap as he was recently “Belofied,” meaning, he is now a member of the Belo Medical Group (BMG). He was given a warm welcome/press conference presided over by Cristalle Henares at Annabel’s Morato.
Cristalle said, “We at BMG are very happy to have Vice Ganda with us. We all know Vice’s ability to make people smile or laugh. Ang kagandahan ay galing sa kaligayahan at saludo kami kay Vice for his ability to put smiles in everyone’s faces in all his performances.”
The “Showtime” and “Gandang Gabi Vice” host said, “I’ve always had very oily skin. That has been my biggest problem and frustration. I often have to get retouched every commercial break to control the oil. So this is my priority, and it has always been my dream to have a smooth, even, flawless complexion. I believe that dream will come true here in Belo.”
On his thoughts about plastic surgery, he said, “I have nothing against it. When I feel that the time comes that I’ll need it, I won’t think twice about doing it. Appearance is as important as a good performance.”

Vice Ganda's Facebook fans reach 1 million

"Showtime" judge and comedian Vice Ganda became the first Filipino celebrity to breach the 1-million-fan mark in the social networking site Facebook.

"Dahil sa dami nang nagmamahal na madlang peeps sa Showtime, ay nakakaaliw sabihin na malapit na malapit na po akong magkaroon ng 1 million na members sa aking fan page," the comedian said during Friday's 'Showtime' episode.
On Sunday, the comedian shared the good news, which was relayed to him by Showtime director Bobet Vidanes.
Tapos iyong mga staff, [bumati na ng] congratulations, you are the first Filipino to reach 1 million (na) following sa Facebook," he said via a recorded phone patch aired on The Buzz on Sunday.
"Iyong salita sigurong 'saya,' understatement. Parang hindi sapat iyong salitang saya," he said.
Vice Ganda was in Dumaguete, which was one of his stops for the "May Nag Txt... May Show Ako" provincial tour.
The Dumaguete show, the first stop of the tour, was sold out, the comedian said.
